I have loved interior design as long as I can remember. Making a space beautiful stems back to my childhood. My Mom owned and operated a floral business and filled our home with fresh flowers and new home décor each holiday season. Often – rooms were updated, and re-painted to match these trends and I found it all so exciting.

Fast forward many years to adulthood. With growing careers that required regular relocations - my husband and I had opportunity to design and custom build homes and/or complete large scale renovations with each of our moves (some in large cities, and some rural areas.) Our most recent renovation in our remote community highlighted a vital local need, and ignited a passion that I believe had been in my heart for decades. Unable to silence the urge to support my community in design – I obtained my Diploma in Interior Design and began Dwell Design Inc. in 2020.

My design business is founded on two core beliefs. First - interior design is deeply personal. A beautiful space must function well for your lifestyle and feel like home. Your space encompasses much more than finishes chosen – it starts in space planning and extends right through to the final piece of furniture chosen with you in mind. My second core belief – design should start before construction does. Taking your design to reality can be simplified significantly with the visual tools and professional advice a designer is trained to provide. This saves you time and money in construction. My education and prior construction experience will see you through all facets of your design efficiently. Using a variety of 2D, 3D and virtual tools – I will make your design process simple, visual, and easy to understand – leaving you in the space you dreamed of – a space where you want to dwell longer.
